First Order Transitions Between the Gapped Spin-Liquid and Ferrimagnetic Phases in \((1/2,1/2,1)\) Mixed Diamond Chains with Bond Alternation

The ground-state phases of mixed diamond chains with bond alternation δ, and \((S,\tau^{(1)},\tau^{(2)}) = (1/2,1/2,1)\), where S is the magnitude vertex spins, τ(1) τ(2) are those apical investigated. two spins in each unit cell connected by an exchange coupling λ. couplings between take values 1 + δ − alternatingly. This model has infinite number local conservation laws. For large λ ≠ 0, ground state equivalent to that spin 1/2 chain alternation. Hence, a gapped liquid. energy gap vanishes for 0. With decrease λ, undergoes transition at λc0(δ) series ferrimagnetic spontaneous magnetization msp 1/p per p positive integer. It found this first order 0 discontinuous change msp, while no discontinuity critical behaviors around point \((\delta ,\lambda ) (0,\lambda_{\text{c0}}(0))\) also discussed analytically.
